Karas Single Vineyard Chardonnay

Crafted from estate-grown Chardonnay grapes, this single vineyard expression from the Ararat Valley embodies elegance and precision. Grown in mineral-rich volcanic soil and cooled by the high-altitude air, the grapes develop fresh acidity and layered complexity.

Hand-harvested in the early morning and sorted with care, this wine is cold fermented—30% in oak barrels, 70% in stainless steel tanks—and aged for six months in a blend of Armenian and French oak, bringing roundness and refinement to its crisp structure.

Origin: Ararat Valley, Armavir Region – Armenia
Soil: Volcanic. Lightly eroded clay formed by basalt, high levels of carbonate and limestone, volcanic tuff and alluvial stones
Climate: Continental, cold semi-arid with warm summers and dry cold winters. Annual precipitation level is around 305 mm
Vinification: Early morning manual harvest in 20 kg boxes. Cold fermentation: 30% in barrels, 70% in stainless steel tanks. Aged 6 months in Armenian and French oak
Alcohol: 13.5%
